Adoption Process

If you see a horse you are interested in, please fill out an adoption application and make an appointment to come meet the horse. Above all else, we want to make sure every horse and owner makes a good fit. All adoptions are to forever homes.

If the horse is a good fit, arrangements will be made to either bring the horse to his new home or boarding at the barn is also available.

Adoption Requirements:

• No barbed wire - wood or hot wire fencing preferred

• Must have shelter in pasture or barn they can be moved to in bad weather

• Vet and farrier references

• Vet must make house calls

• Reliable source of water and ability to provide fresh water in freezing months

• The animal may not be sold to anyone. If the owner can no longer take care of the animal, it may be sold back to Hope 4 Horses at an agreed upon price.
